Stacey Field, Ph.D.

Director of Assessment
Dr. Stacey Field is a Licensed Psychologist, and a certified school psychologist with interests in pediatric assessment and identification of learning disabilities. Her area of expertise is in identification and intervention of Dyslexia and reading disorders, particularly within educational RTI/MTSS frameworks. 
Prior to joining WCBH, Dr. Field served in the public schools as a psychologist and PPT chairperson at the elementary, middle and high school levels. She has expertise in special education & Section 504 laws and processes, school consultation, and fostering parent/school relationships.


Dr. Field conducts solutions-focused therapy for individuals to address anxiety, depression, emotional regulation, issues of bullying, and social skills development. A primary focus of counseling often involves teaching children and young adults how to advocate for themselves,  dispel faulty perceptions of self, and apply coping strategies in times of distress. Her counseling goals often involve developing functional study habits, making necessary lifestyle adjustments, and building and maintaining healthy relationships with friends and family. She works with families and educators to conduct functional behavior assessments and to create practical behavioral interventions for home and school.

Dr. Field obtained her Specialist Level degree in School Psychology from the University of Rhode Island in 2006 and her PhD from North Carolina State University in 2015.  She completed her doctoral internship in the Neurology Department of Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center in the Section of Neuropsychology. She is a licensed psychologist in the state of Connecticut and holds a 70 certificate from the Connecticut State Department of Education.
